Me, Myself, I, and Friend decided to try a different style of covers. My friend Connie had asked me to just do a backing track for here and I figured I might as well record my journey. I’m not some master at the Djembe – it’s my newest instrument I’m learning. I’ve also attached the nashville number system I made to help me play it.

Just a quick breakdown of my notation for fellow musicians. For example 5(II)-1 means "5", "second inversion", "transition to 1". In the key of C it means "G, second inversion, transition to C". So something like 1(II)-4 would mean "1","second inversion","transition to 4" and In C - "C, second inversion, transition to F" 1(5b) would mean "C flatten 5th or 1 flatten 5th or "C-E-Gb". etc |
